For assigned studies: responsible for (1) developing accurate and timely total investigator grants and per subject cost estimates, based on the study design and schedule of events (using a fair market value tool), (2) reviewing CROs’ and/or sites’ proposed changes to the study-specific budget parameters (in partnership with other business lines internally), (3) ensuring the delivery of high quality, compliant, effective, and timely deliverables, (4) maintaining productive relationships with internal client groups, (5) leading ongoing process improvements and training sessions (including participating on strategic initiatives), (6) onboarding, training, and mentoring peers, and (7) potentially having direct reports.

Core Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise for assigned therapeutic areas
- Accountable for ensuring performance and efficiency standards are met for assignments
- Perform in a manner consistent with Regeneron’s values
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Provide ongoing guidance to peers on site budgeting
- Utilize a fair market value tool and other relevant data to develop total investigator grants, per-subject cost estimates, and budget scenarios
- Utilize per-subject cost output, along with protocol design, historical information, and operational approach, to determine overall investigator grant cost
- Develop and present budget scenarios to study teams for OPRB and related meetings
- Understand the nuances between early and final budget estimates
- Manage changes to study scope, ensuring timely budget amendment and implementation
- Serve as single point of contact for non-standard budget line items requiring internal approval
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with relevant stakeholders from early planning throughout the end-to-end budgeting lifecycle
- Work closely with stakeholders and communicate effectively to ensure business objectives are met
- Develop and enhance relationships with stakeholders
- Handle site budgeting–related escalations effectively and efficiently; resolve issues of moderate to high complexity
Process Improvement & Systems
- Help develop and enhance site budgeting processes
- Stay current on industry standards and help identify new best practices to drive continuous improvement
- Lead ongoing process improvements and training sessions, including participation in strategic initiatives
- Develop guidance documents
- Ensure internal systems are updated in a timely, accurate, and complete manner
- Effectively and efficiently prioritize assignments
- Responsible for making timely decisions and directing outcomes
People Development
- Help train others on site budgeting and industry practices
- Onboard, train, and mentor peers
- Potentially manage direct reports
Travel
- May require up to 25% travel
This role requires:
- Ability to mitigate and drive solutions regarding site budgeting challenges
- Ability to identify and implement best practices and contribute to continuous improvement for site budgeting
- Ability to influence vendors and internal stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of site budgeting practices
- Comfortable participating on and occasionally leading cross functional teams of peers
- Ability to lead, manage, coach, and train peers or direct reports
- Ability to effectively onboard, train, and mentor peers
- Ability to lead ongoing, process improvements (including participating on strategic initiatives)
- Functional subject matter expert
Minimum Years of Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience
- Required minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience with clinical site budgeting at a biopharmaceutical company, CRO, or site
- Required minimum of 6 months of applicable mentoring and training and/or matrix-level people management experience

$114,800.00 - $187,400.00
