We are seeking a Specialist to join our Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) team in an on-site capacity. In this role, you will help protect the safety and health of our workforce by supporting regulatory compliance, inspections, incident response, and industrial hygiene programs while collaborating with laboratory, facilities, and departmental partners.

Discover your role:

  • Support EH&S programs, procedures, and communications that promote regulatory compliance and safe work practices
  • Perform routine inspections, audits, and assessments of laboratories, facilities, and support areas
  • Coordinate environmental compliance activities, including spill kits, waste management support, and related documentation
  • Respond to EH&S incidents, alarms, and emergency events, including after-hours situations
  • Support industrial hygiene and occupational health through exposure monitoring, sampling, and ergonomic assessments
  • Manage calibration, maintenance, and logistics for EH&S monitoring and radiation safety equipment
  • Investigate near-misses and incidents, help identify corrective actions, and maintain EH&S records, inventories, and signage
  • Partner with assigned departments on risk mitigation, and support new construction, renovation, permits, and regulatory submissions

This role requires:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, Science, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of related work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills, such as the Microsoft suite, and ability to learn specialized software and safety and industrial hygiene equipment
  • Preferred: Advanced degree and/or certifications (Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, Associate Safety Professional, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, and/or Medical Emergency Technician)
