Manager, Imaging Informatics

Clinical Imaging Informatics and Data Sciences

We are seeking a Manager with a focus in imaging informatics to join our Clinical Imaging Informatics and Data Sciences team. You will maintain, support and enhance the tools our group uses to ingest, standardize, manage, analyze and visualize clinical imaging data, and develop new tools as those needs grow. Work closely with Clinical Imaging colleagues, Data Management, Biostatistics, IT and imaging vendors, with emphasis on reliable tools and analysis-ready imaging data.

Discover your role:

  • Maintain and support the group's imaging informatics tools and analytical pipeline, including monitoring of dataflows and scheduled jobs, user access and support, upgrades and issue resolution.
  • Maintain clinical imaging databases and data pipelines, including routine loading of vendor imaging-derived data, standardization to internal and CDISC conventions, QC and reconciliation, and query support for study teams.
  • Develop new tools, scripts and automations that reduce manual effort in imaging operations, such as reconciliation of expected versus received deliverables, read progress tracking and assembly of analysis-ready datasets.
  • Execute and adapt quantitative image analysis workflows, including segmentation, registration and derived measurements, and deliver results in a documented and reproducible form.
  • Author and maintain documentation for the tools you support, including requirements, specifications, testing records and user guides.
  • Collaborate with IT, Data Management, Biostatistics and imaging vendors to troubleshoot dataflow issues and support evaluation of new imaging platforms and AI tools.

  • A BS with 5+ years, MS with 3+ years, or PhD in imaging science, biomedical engineering, computer science, data science or a related field.
  • Hands-on programming ability in Python and SQL and practical experience building and maintaining relational databases.
  • Working knowledge of medical imaging fundamentals, including DICOM, image formats, modalities and analysis software, and demonstrated experience performing quantitative image analysis.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting clinical trial imaging in a regulated environment.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with ophthalmic and oncology modalities and with Linux, cloud and dashboard tools such as Tableau.
