We are seeking a Medical Operations Associate Manager to join our local Medical Affairs team, supporting our Spain operations in a hybrid role. In this role, you will ensure the compliant, high-quality execution of local medical affairs activities while collaborating with medical affairs colleagues and cross-functional partners. Discover your role:
- Drive compliant execution of country Medical Affairs priorities across therapeutic areas.
- Maintain audit and inspection readiness through documentation, transparency, and ABAC reporting.
- Localise Medical Affairs SOPs and work instructions into local process guides.
- Serve as subject matter expert for vendor onboarding, security, privacy, and compliance assessments.
- Manage country contracts (CDAs, MSAs, SOWs), purchase orders, and budget reconciliation with Finance and Procurement.
- Lead logistics for medical meetings and congresses, coordinating contracting, registration, venue, and travel.
- Oversee local Medical Affairs onboarding, communications, and operational meeting follow-up.
- You bring a structured, service-oriented mindset to multiple priorities with limited supervision.
This role requires:
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6-8+ years in Medical Affairs operations, coordination, project support, or administrative pharma or biotech roles.
- Experience in a country organisation, with knowledge of country-level compliance, transparency, regulated processes, and medical governance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Veeva CRM, and Vault Medical & PromoMats.
- Fluency in Spanish, with business-proficient English preferred.
- Willingness to undertake occasional business travel.
- Preferred: country Medical Affairs and congress logistics experience, procurement systems (iCertis or SAP), Finance partnership, and commercial operations experience.
- Highly organised, proactive, and service-oriented, with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
