We are seeking a Director Medical Affairs Hematology Strategy Japan to join our Global Medical Affairs team, supporting our Japan business in a hybrid work model. In this role, you will provide scientific and medical leadership for our hematology portfolio and pipeline while collaborating with global, regional, local, and cross-functional teams. Discover your role:

• Serve as the in-country medical lead for hematology assets and pipeline activities.
• Represent Medical Affairs in cross-functional planning with regional and global partners.
• Direct Field Medical execution, insight generation, and external scientific engagement.
• Coach and develop Field Medical colleagues through onboarding, feedback, and guidance.
• Support clinical development, research, investigator engagement, and site identification.
• Lead medical strategy for congresses, symposia, advisory boards, and educational activities.
• Deliver scientific presentations to healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
• You build trusted relationships and bring local patient and physician insights forward.

This role requires:

• MD or PhD with strong scientific expertise and extensive hematology experience.
• More than 10-15 years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Japan regulatory requirements.
• Solid experience in drug development and lifecycle management.
• Experience leading people and directing Field Medical activities.
• Deep knowledge of solid tumors; immuno-hematology experience preferred.
• Experience in matrix organizations and cross-functional collaboration.
• Thorough understanding of the Japanese healthcare environment.
• Ability to shape strategic and tactical planning opportunities.
• Excellent medical communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Publication record and translational or basic research experience are a plus.
• Business-level Japanese and English proficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining compliance standards.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10-20%.
