The Auditory group is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist to support the development of therapies to treat hearing loss. This is a hands-on, in vivo-focused role in which you will be central to our preclinical studies that drive our discovery and development efforts toward new medicines.

As a Senior Associate Scientist in the auditory group, your typical day might include:

· Performing a broad range of in vivo procedures in mice, including survival and terminal blood collection.

· Carrying out systemic dosing and delivery via intravenous, intraperitoneal, subcutaneous.

· Performing specialized inner ear procedures such as perilymph collection and other microsurgical techniques.

· Handling and caring for mice, including performing procedures like tissue sample collection.

· Harvesting and collecting a range of tissues for downstream molecular and histological analysis.

· Ex vivo tissue processing, including dissection, fixation, decalcification, embedding, and cryosectioning.

· Supporting the planning and execution of in vivo studies and helping train and guide junior team members on procedures

· Maintaining detailed, accurate documentation of in vivo procedures and study records in compliance with IACUC protocols

· Collaborating closely with study directors, veterinary staff, and cross-functional research teams

To be considered for this role, you should have:

· B.S. with relevant experience or M.S. degree in Animal Science, Physiology, Neuroscience, Cell Biology, or a related discipline

· Proven hands-on experience with rodent in vivo techniques, including bleeds, systemic dosing, and tissue collection.

· Familiarity with post-mortem tissue processing (perfusion, dissection, fixation, sectioning) is preferred.
