With guidance, this role (Senior Manager, Development Program Management) uses program management knowledge and experience in the drug development industry to provide operational leadership and manage development program(s). This individual contributes to the cross functional development team (Strategic Program Team) to develop strategic plans including goals, budgets, timelines and monitor the execution of these plans from preclinical through commercialization/lifecycle management.

Discover your role:
- Development Teams: In partnership with lead DPM and Global Program head (GPH), contributes to strategic program teams (SPT) and sub teams, and participates in key governance meetings. Uses knowledge of drug development and project/program management to work with cross functional team members to coordinate development of and track integrated project/program plans, timelines and budgets based on program vision. Assists in the identification and assessment of risks to the project, tracks risks and issues, and contributes to the development of risk management plans.
- Business Acumen: With oversight can identify, manage and handle relevant business situations arising on Development Teams, and can facilitate a positive outcome. Manages project management planning systems (MS Project, SharePoint) for assigned programs/projects. Leverages systems and tools to move the program and business forward.
- Communication: Tailors communication based on audience, effectively framing and communicating nuanced context for stakeholders and summarizing key decisions and actions. Contributes to a culture which promotes and encourages open communication, transparency, accountability and learning from mistakes.
- Problem Solving: Works with team to proactively identify, develop and implement viable long-term solutions to project issues. Develops tools and mechanisms for documenting and monitoring progress of solution implementation. Escalates complex problems or issues to lead DPM in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Leadership: Influences teams and may influence across functions. Keeps manager and key stakeholders informed to ensure alignment. May represent function in collaborative activities with other departments. With support, identifies and manages conflict.

MINIMAL EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma
Associates Degree
Bachelor's Degree
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 7+ years of relevant broad project / program management experience required, preferably in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
