We are currently looking to fill an Executive Director, Global Procurement – Strategy & Delivery position on our team. In this role, you will serve as a senior strategic leader responsible for shaping and enabling the global procurement agenda in alignment with enterprise priorities, business growth, and long-term value creation. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Procurement Center of Excellence, this role partners closely with the Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer, the Global Procurement Leadership Team, and senior cross-functional stakeholders to translate strategy into execution across the global procurement organization. This position drives Global Procurement priorities, advances operating model evolution, and delivers measurable impact across the organization.
In this role, a typical day may include the following:
Lead the development, refresh, and execution of the Global Procurement strategy, ensuring alignment to enterprise priorities, business objectives, and the organization’s medium- and long-term ambitions.
Act as a senior advisor to the Chief Procurement Officer and Global Procurement Leadership Team on strategic priorities, transformation initiatives, and key business decisions affecting the global procurement function.
Drive cross-functional and enterprise-wide initiatives that elevate procurement’s role as a strategic partner, including sustainability, small business, and strategic supplier relationship management.
Lead merger and acquisition due diligence and planning across Global Procurement
Translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps, governance, performance measures, and communications that enable execution across categories, regions, and business partners.
Lead a small, high-impact team responsible for strategic programs and enterprise initiatives, creating clarity, focus, and accountability while developing organizational capability for the future.
Apply deep knowledge of leading global procurement organizations, industry best practices, and external market trends—particularly within biopharmaceuticals—to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement across processes, capabilities, and structures.
This role may be for you if you:
Have significant leadership experience within global procurement, supply management, operations, strategy, or related functions in a complex, multi-national organization; biopharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated the ability to operate credibly and effectively with senior executives, influence across functions, and lead high-visibility initiatives that require strong alignment, governance, and change management.
Have a proven success developing strategy and translating it into execution through roadmaps, operating models, performance management, and organization-wide communication.
Can convey strong executive communication, strategic thinking, and organizational leadership skills, with the ability to create clarity and momentum in a dynamic environment.
Exhibit a high degree of integrity, judgment, and resilience, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, challenge the status quo, and drive meaningful transformation.
To be considered for this role you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; advanced degree and/or professional certification preferred and 20+ years of progressive experience demonstrating increased scope, strategic complexity, and leadership impact.
