Senior Trade Analyst - Customs Brokerage

We are seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst (Analyst or Senior Analyst) to join our team, supporting import and export operations across Regeneron's global supply chain. In this role, you will execute daily trade compliance activities — including product classification, licensing, permits, and customs coordination — while serving as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, customs brokers, and regulatory agencies.   • Location: East Greenbush, New York, United States
  • Work model: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
  • Travel percentage: ~5%

Discover your role:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all tactical trade compliance functions, including daily coordination with Regeneron's customs brokers for import and export activities
  • Review, validate, and confirm US Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) and Export Commodity Control (ECCN) classifications for formulated drug substance products and raw materials
  • Act as business liaison for Customs (CBP), FDA, and USDA, including issue resolution and keeping the business current on regulatory changes and trade compliance best practices
  • Manage and update Export and Import Trade Compliance Manuals; create and maintain trade compliance SOPs as needed
  • Research, prepare, and submit applications for export and import licenses and permits, conducting classification research to verify requirements
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams, vendors, and brokerage partners to ensure compliant and efficient trade operations
  • Deliver periodic trade compliance training to internal business stakeholders
  • Navigate complex pharmaceutical classification procedures with accuracy and sound judgment in a fast-paced, high-interaction environment

This role requires:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Trade Compliance Analyst: 2+ years of experience
  • Senior Trade Compliance Analyst: 5+ years of experience
  • May consider equivalent combination of education and experience; level determined based on qualifications
  • Experience in customs brokerage or trade compliance with an importer/exporter in a chemical and/or FDA-regulated industry, Licensed Customs Broker preferred
