What you’ll do:

  • Complying with site safety policies and strive to maintain an accident-free environment.
  • Executing scheduled, corrective, and post-maintenance calibrations of process and utility instrumentation in accordance with approved procedures and GMP requirements.
  • Performing loop checks, I/O verification, functional testing, commissioning activities, and return-to-service assessments.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving instrumentation and low-voltage control system issues to support reliable and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Calibrating, verifying, and maintaining a wide range of instrumentation including temperature, pressure, flow, level, and analytical devices.
  • Configuring and verifying smart instrumentation using approved calibration and communication tools.
  • Ensuring calibration and maintenance activities are documented in accordance with cGMP, GDP, and Data Integrity requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate calibration records, equipment histories, certificates, and work orders within site CMMS and calibration management systems.
  • Supporting investigations, deviations, impact assessments, root cause analysis, CAPA activities, and out-of-tolerance events as required.
  • Coordinating activities with Manufacturing, Engineering, Validation, Quality, and Facilities personnel to safely and efficiently complete assigned work.
  • Maintaining calibration standards, tools, and test equipment in a qualified state with appropriate certification and traceability.
  • Supporting facility start-ups, shutdowns, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives including Lean and 5S programs.
  • Adhering to and remaining current in assigned IOPS plant and departmental SOPs and required training programs.
  • Continuously developing technical knowledge and contributing to the success of a high-performing team supporting the manufacturing of life-changing medicines.
  • Occasionally performing other processes, utility, facility, and project-related activities outside normal calibration responsibilities in support of site objectives.

The environment and physical rhythms of this role:

  • A time-served Instrumentation/Electrical qualification or relevant third-level qualification in Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in calibration, instrumentation, and control systems, preferably within a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Experience calibrating temperature, pressure, flow, level, and analytical instrumentation; experience with control valves and weighing systems is an advantage.
  • The ability to interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across instrumentation and low-voltage control systems.
