Summary: The Mgr Accounting Operations role is responsible for identifying, improving, and developing solutions that drive strategic goals and optimizes accounting and information systems. The Mgr will need to collaborate across the company to meet business requirements, coordinate project plans, and recommend solutions to improve accounting processes, specifically within the biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Maintaining and modifying accounting’s oracle application configurations within oracle OPM, order management, inventory, and financials.
Liaising with accounting and IT teams to resolve functional setup issues and sophisticated system problems to support monthly closes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Engaging with process owners to identify automation opportunities, assess their feasibility, and prioritize their implementation to maximize efficiencies.
Collaborating with global business partners to translate business requirements into various appropriately detailed deliverables such as functional design specification, use cases, and workflow/processes diagrams.
Conducting end-to-end testing cycles to validate application improvements, ERP system upgrades, and project implementations, focusing on impact analysis.
Education and Experience:
Assoc Mgr: Requires BS/BA in Accounting, Information Systems or similar field and 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience of education and experience.
Mgr: Requires BS/BA in Accounting, Information Systems or similar field and 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience of education and experience.
Sr. Mgr: Requires BS/BA in Accounting, Information Systems or similar field and 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience of education and experience.
Experience crafting requirements, design documents, and test scripts is preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred; pharmaceutical experience helpful.
Experience with Oracle EBS (ERP) and/or Oracle Fusion (ERP) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge in ERP application with various financial modules, not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Order Management preferred.
Strong systems/process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with advanced Excel proficiency.
Proficient in accounting principles and financial statements.
Familiarity with Oracle EBS (ERP) reporting, analytics, and visualization tools like Noetix, Power BI, PCMCS, Data Lakes, Qlik, Hubble, and Tableau is a plus.
