Vendor Support Technician

We are looking for a Vendor Support Technician to join our growing team. This role is accountable for execution and oversight of work managed by the Facilities Maintenance Management (FMM) Department.

As a Vendor Support Technician, a typical day might include the following:

  • Sponsoring and escorting vendor technicians into utility spaces, lab areas, and process areas, including gowning into classified and controlled spaces.
  • Reviewing work record documentation and vendor provided documentation for completeness, accuracy and compliance, and providing feedback to Facilities technicians, contractors, and other internal or external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Working with Facilities, Manufacturing, and Quality Control teams (among others) to coordinate and ensure completion of FMM managed work (preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting activities, repair and calibration).
  • Following current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs) and good business practices.
  • Investigating and solving issues and determining solutions or recommendations for remediation, changes, and/or improvements.
  • Supporting colleagues with the initiation, processing, and closure of Change Controls, workflows, investigations, CAPAs etc.
  • Supporting inner departmental and cross-functional projects from planning to closeout, ensuring clear communication, risk control, and on-time delivery.
  • Supervising contractors.

  • Possess basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and overall comfort and general familiarity with computer systems
  • Have a continuous improvement mentality to identify and communicate ideas

To be considered for this position, candidates ideally should have an AAS degree in an Engineering or Construction Technologies related discipline and the following minimum experience for each level:

  • Vendor Support Technician II: 2+ years
  • Vendor Support Technician III: 4+ years
  • Vendor Support Technician IV: 6+ years

Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement. Prior experience in the maintenance and operation of large-scale utilities plant preferred.

Level will be determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
