We are seeking an Associate Manager Global Procurement R&D Lab Consumables to join our Global Procurement team, supporting our Lab Consumables category in a hybrid work model. In this role, you will support category strategy development, strategic sourcing, supplier management, data-driven decision making, and cost optimization initiatives while collaborating with partners, suppliers, Procurement colleagues, the Law department, and cross-functional teams. Discover your role:

  • Support the definition and implementation of global Lab Consumables category strategies that serve regional and global business needs.

  • Partner with collaborators and Procurement leadership to align category priorities and manage category-related discussions.

  • Lead sourcing activities, negotiations, supplier management, stakeholder engagement, and contracting initiatives for assigned Lab Consumables categories.

  • Drive value through cost savings, cash flow improvements, inventory insights, and broader category management efficiencies using spend and performance analytics.

  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions in collaboration with the Law department while ensuring alignment with business requirements.

  • Ensure category activities align with applicable GxP requirements and other relevant regulations while supporting supplier performance and service delivery.

  • Use market intelligence, benchmarking, supplier engagement, and data analytics to inform decisions and strengthen category outcomes.

  • You bring integrity, focus, and collaboration to help drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes across teams and supplier partnerships.

This role requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study and progressive procurement experience, including experience in Pharma or BioPharma.

  • Experience managing category processes and suppliers across a breadth of categories.

  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams to deliver results in Lab Consumables or related categories through sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management.

  • Experience providing insights on rates, unit costs, costing structures, cost models, and total cost of ownership models to support effective negotiations and sourcing decisions.

  • Experience using external data sources, market intelligence, supplier engagement, and supply market insights to evaluate sourcing opportunities and market dynamics.

  • Demonstrated success supporting global supply market evaluations using market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools.

  • Experience supporting supplier relationship management activities and building productive collaborator and supplier partnerships.

  • Working knowledge of sourcing and contracting tools, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and electronic Request for Proposal (eRFX) platforms, including Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, or similar systems.

  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience supporting sourcing platform technologies such as LabViva, Zageno, Science Exchange, Scientist.com, or similar platforms.

  • Ability to employ Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for communication, analysis, and presentations

  • Experience using data analytics, automation, and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Power Automate to generate insights and communicate recommendations to partners and senior leadership.

  • Experience implementing inventory management programs and supporting technologies, including RFID, QR code solutions, consignment programs, vendor-managed inventory, single-use materials, bioreagents, and media.

  • Experience operating with integrity, focus, and clarity in ambiguous environments while motivating change and improvement.

  • Experience managing associate-level professionals preferred.
