In this role you will be responsible for managing and leading all aspects of complex build and construction projects, including renovations, re-purposing of spaces, and new construction, from inception to completion. This role involves strong collaboration, resource management, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
As a Staff Project Manager, a typical day might include the following:
Leading the planning, implementation, and execution of projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives
Defining project scope, goals, and work in collaboration with stakeholders
Developing detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and managing resources effectively
Communicating project status, risks, and issues to collaborators and senior management
Manage expectations and ensure alignment with project goals
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies
Ensure the project work meets quality standards and collaborator expectations
Maintaining comprehensive project documentation throughout the lifecycle and ensuring compliance with safety regulations, cGMPs, and other relevant laws and policies
Building and leading design teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, and evaluating and recommending changes to project designs and ensuring compliance with building codes
Coordinating with other departments to minimize project risks and operational impacts
Conducting surveys, preparing designs, and supervising construction and maintenance of facilities
This role may be for you if you have:
Demonstrated experience managing large projects and ensuring seamless turnover to operations
Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of working with senior leadership and regulatory agents
The ability to analyze risks, make quality decisions, and generate innovative solutions
Proficiency in maintaining project documentation and preparing comprehensive reports
Strong expertise in facility systems, designs, and operations
In order to be considered for this position, you must hold a BSc/BEng or higher in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Chemical, Process, Mechanical Engineering) with 10+ years of related experience in project management. Direct experience with biopharmaceutical process equipment is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
