The Senior Manager, Strategy Planning & Operations is responsible for coordinating and executing key operational activities that support leadership effectiveness, organizational planning, and business execution across Development Operations, Portfolio Management & Biostatistics Data Management (DO, PM & BDM). Working closely with the Department Head and Senior Leadership Team, this role supports leadership forums, strategic initiatives, departmental programs, knowledge management, and operational processes critical to departmental success. The role requires sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to operate with significant autonomy while partnering closely with leadership to drive priorities, improve operational effectiveness, and support organizational objectives.

Discover your role:
- Lead the planning and execution of leadership and departmental meetings, including agenda development, meeting materials, communications, minutes, action tracking, and follow-through to drive accountability and timely completion of deliverables.
- Coordinate and manage departmental operational processes and business rhythms, including annual planning activities, leadership team logistics, organizational communications, and key departmental milestones.
- Manage and continuously improve departmental knowledge management and collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, intranet sites), ensuring content quality, accessibility, governance, and alignment with business needs.
- Oversee departmental programs and initiatives, including workforce development, employee engagement, internship, mentorship, and other organizational programs, ensuring effective execution and stakeholder coordination.
- Maintain organizational information, reporting materials, and operational documentation to support workforce planning, leadership decision-making, inspection readiness, and departmental governance activities.
- Partner with department leadership to support strategic initiatives, organizational planning efforts, leadership priorities, special projects, and cross-functional business objectives.
- Drive operational excellence through the identification, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes, tools, templates, and ways of working that enhance efficiency, consistency, communication, and organizational effectiveness.
- Support the planning and execution of non-drug project activities and other departmental operational priorities through stakeholder coordination, project tracking, and management of ad hoc business needs.
This role requires:
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree and 8+ years in operational or enterprise planning, including experience facilitating cross-functional alignment on processes and initiatives. Biopharma / drug development experience preferred.
- Experience supporting enterprise planning, portfolio management, project management, resource management, or collaboration platforms in a biopharma, R&D, or regulated business environment.
- Experience developing or maintaining business-rule documentation, knowledge articles, UAT materials, operational SOPs, decision records, or governance documentation.
- Experience tracking adoption, user engagement, operational metrics, support trends, and service performance indicators.
