Senior Manager, Country Cluster Manager

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Clinical Trial Liaison Operations to join our Global Site Management function, supporting our EMEA region in a remote work mode. In this role, you will lead country-cluster operations and field-based Clinical Trial Liaison teams while collaborating with regional leaders, study teams, vendors, and investigator sites. Remote, with 30–40% EU travel. This position is available in multiple locations.

Discover your role:

• Lead Clinical Trial Liaison performance, development planning, formal reviews, goals, workload, and quality delivery.
• Oversee vendor-provided staff against service-level agreements and raise performance concerns.
• Implement standardised feasibility, site selection, recruitment, retention, and investigator issue-resolution processes.
• Advise cross-functional forums on study, programme, country, capacity, and resource strategies.
• Build investigator relationships, conduct remote and on-site co-visits, and support meetings, audits, and inspections.
• Report monthly metrics, standard methodologies, issues, and escalations while retaining a 15% liaison workload.
• You foster a collaborative, high-performing cluster aligned with regional standards and continuous improvement.

This role requires:

• Bachelor’s degree and eight years’ relevant clinical operations experience in industry or a contract research organisation.
• Two to three years’ direct people-management accountability; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Extensive global trial operations, field-team leadership, and clinical development knowledge.
• Knowledge of International Council for Harmonisation Good Clinical Practice and regional and local regulations.
• Strong scientific communication, organisation, prioritisation, and investigator relationship skills.
• Collaborative and independent working styles, cross-cultural awareness, and fluent business English.
• Additional languages are beneficial.
