The Director, Dermatology Consumer Marketing (Atopic Dermatitis) will play a critical role in shaping and executing consumer marketing strategy within an increasingly dynamic healthcare, media, and technology landscape. This leader will drive the development of integrated, omnichannel consumer engagement strategies that educate, engage, and activate patients while accelerating brand growth and adherence.
The individual will oversee strategy and execution across the full consumer ecosystem, including media, digital experiences, CRM, social, influencer, content, in-office materials, and emerging consumer touchpoints across the full consumer journey. They will be responsible for identifying and leveraging evolving consumer discovery behaviors, advances in AI-enabled marketing, and innovative engagement approaches to create differentiated patient experiences and improve marketing effectiveness.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and digitally fluent marketing leader with deep direct to consumer marketing expertise, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to continuous learning. They possess a strong track record of leading high-performing teams, developing talent, influencing across complex organizations, and translating consumer insights and business data into impactful marketing strategies that drive measurable results.
This role directly manages consumer marketers and is responsible for building a high-performing team culture through coaching, talent development, succession planning, and fostering an environment of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
When & where:
- Office Based in Sleepy Hollow, NY for 4 days a week with 15% travel expected
Discover your role:
- Lead the development and orchestration of integrated consumer marketing strategies for Atopic Dermatitis (eczema) that support brand objectives and drive patient engagement, education, and activation
- Own the consumer marketing ecosystem across media, digital, social, influencer, CRM, content, websites, and emerging consumer engagement platforms
- Lead indication-level strategic planning and creative development, ensuring executional excellence across the consumer journey
- Partner with media agencies to develop, optimize, and measure omnichannel media strategies spanning traditional and digital channels
- Leverage consumer insights, analytics, market research, business performance data, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and optimize marketing investments
- Develop consumer experience strategies that improve discoverability, engagement, and conversion across evolving search environments, AI-powered information ecosystems, and emerging consumer behaviors
- Manage CRM and personalization strategies to deepen consumer relationships and improve customer engagement across the patient journey
- Identify, evaluate, and pilot emerging marketing technologies, AI-enabled capabilities, and innovative engagement approaches that improve marketing effectiveness and patient experience
- Own agency management, budget stewardship, and operational excellence alongside alliance marketing team to ensure delivery of high-quality marketing initiatives on time and within budget
- Collaborate closely with HCP Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Research, Analytics, Patient Services, PR, Legal, Regulatory, and Alliance partners to deliver aligned and integrated customer experiences
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Serve as a consumer marketing thought leader across the Dermatology franchise by sharing best practices, emerging trends, and scalable marketing capabilities that can be leveraged across indications
- Partner across Dermatology brands to identify opportunities for consistency, capability-building, and adoption of innovative consumer marketing approaches
- Ensure all strategies, tactics, and materials comply with corporate, legal, regulatory, and industry requirements
This role requires:
- 12+ years of progressive consumer marketing, brand marketing, digital marketing, or related commercial experience in pharmaceutical marketing, including experience leading integrated marketing strategies
- 5+ years of people leadership experience with demonstrated success developing high-performing teams and future leaders
- Pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or highly regulated industry experience required
- Demonstrated expertise in direct-to-consumer marketing, digital transformation, omnichannel engagement, and marketing innovation
- Dermatology, Immunology, or specialty biologics experience preferred
- Experience operating within alliance or co-promote partnerships preferred
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
