We are seeking a Principal Scientist, Precision Medicine – Quantitative Biomarker Sciences to join our team in India. In this role, you will provide quantitative biology and bioinformatics leadership, supporting biomarker and clinical data analyses, data quality control, visualization tools, pipeline automation, and cross-study data integration initiatives. You will lead a small team, oversee analytical deliverables, ensure data quality, and contribute to the development of innovative tools and AI-assisted workflows that accelerate scientific discovery and decision-making.

Discover your role:
Lead and oversee execution of automated biomarker and clinical data processing pipelines while ensuring quality and accuracy of outputs.
Perform and review data quality control (QC) and results QC checks, documenting findings and driving issue resolution.
Build, maintain, and enhance RMarkdown, Quarto, and Shiny-based data viewers for study-level and cross-study data exploration.
Support cross-study database integration activities, including data harmonization, variable mapping, validation, and ETL quality checks.
Create and maintain programming documentation, integrated dataset specifications, and data quality reports.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality programming and analytical outputs across assigned projects.
Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in open-source programming and data analysis methodologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and project teams to meet internal decision-making timelines.
Supervise a small team, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Drive development and optimization of reusable AI-assisted workflows, code libraries, prompts, and best practices.
This role requires:
Education & Experience
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8+ years of programming experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences environments.
Minimum 2 years of direct people management or supervisory experience.
Experience working with molecular, biomarker, clinical trial, or real-world healthcare data.
Technical Skills
Strong experience with R, R Shiny, Python, Bash, and related open-source programming tools.
Experience using Git or other version control systems.
Experience with AI-assisted coding platforms such as Claude Code or similar tools.
Knowledge of data integration, visualization, pipeline automation, and QC methodologies.
Familiarity with statistical concepts including linear models, logistic models, survival analysis, and multiple testing considerations.
Scientific Knowledge
Understanding of one or more biomarker or clinical data modalities, including:
Genomics / Sequencing
Transcriptomics
Proteomics
Metabolomics
Imaging
Flow Cytometry
Electronic Health Records (EHR)
