We are seeking a Manager, Global Trial Optimization – Recruitment & Retention to join our Global Clinical Trial Strategy team. In this role, you will support and drive patient recruitment and retention strategies across clinical studies, collaborating closely with study teams, CROs, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders. You will oversee recruitment solutions, monitor vendor performance, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures while helping deliver successful patient enrollment outcomes globally.

Discover your role:

  • Oversee trial-specific patient recruitment and retention activities across global clinical studies.

  • Support the development and execution of recruitment and retention plans before First Patient First Visit (FPFV).

  • Collaborate with Clinical Trial Management teams to align recruitment strategies with study achievements and country allocation plans.

  • Manage relationships with recruitment and retention vendors, ensuring compliance with company standards and contractual commitments.

  • Monitor vendor performance through key performance indicators, troubleshoot issues, and drive improvements.

  • Review, edit, and provide feedback on patient-facing materials and recruitment campaign content.

  • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of recruitment and retention initiatives to ensure smooth execution.

  • Develop presentations, articles, newsletters, and other study-related communications.

  • Evaluate and communicate the financial impact of recruitment strategies and vendor services.

  • Maintain tracking systems, process documentation, job aids, and team resources.

  • Stay informed of industry regulations and best practices, contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.

This role requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience; advanced degree may be considered in lieu of some experience.

  • Experience supporting patient recruitment and retention activities within clinical research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare environments.

  • Strong vendor management and cross-functional collaboration experience.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively across multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience with clinical trial systems, AI-powered document creation tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Knowledge of clinical trial recruitment, enrollment tracking, patient engagement, and retention practices.

  • Understanding of ICH/GCP, EUCTR, IVDR, and other relevant regulatory guidelines.

  • Strong project management, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work independently while successfully collaborating within a global matrix organization.

  • Limited travel may be required.
