We are seeking an Associate Director, Statistical Programming to join our Statistical Programming team, supporting our therapeutic area programs in a hybrid work model. In this role, you will oversee statistical programming activities across internal teams and functional service providers, ensuring high-quality deliverables while shaping departmental standards, processes, and training. You'll collaborate closely with study and project teams, programming leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to meet therapeutic analysis and computing needs.

Discover your role:

  • Lead and manage a statistical programming group, driving timely, high-quality deliverables across internal and outsourced work
  • Shape and implement programming standards, applications, processes, and training for your therapeutic area
  • Partner with study and project teams to clarify requirements and guide programmers through assignment execution
  • Represent Statistical Programming with partnering functions to ensure specifications and computing needs are met
  • Champion company values, modeling excellence, collaboration, ownership, and accountability
  • Drive department goals and lead subject-matter-expert initiatives
  • Set goals, manage performance, and mentor direct reports, supporting their growth and development
  • Contribute to hiring by screening and interviewing programming candidates

This role requires:

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Life Science, or related discipline, with 10+ years of clinical programming experience
  • Advanced SAS programming skills (Base, Stat, Macro, Graph) within a clinical data environment
  • Demonstrated project and people management experience, including work across global, interdisciplinary teams
  • Expertise in one or more therapeutic areas and strong understanding of pharmaceutical clinical development and regulatory submissions

Nice to haves:

  • SAS certification
  • Leadership experience supporting the hiring, development, and evaluation of junior staff and contractors
