We are seeking a Associate Manager Tax Indirect Tax Compliance Operations to join our Tax function, supporting our global business area in a hybrid work model. In this role, you will manage indirect tax reporting, compliance, process optimization, and VAT risk management while collaborating with IT, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Procurement, and business partners. Discover your role:

  • Prepare and file indirect tax reporting declarations, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.

  • Reconcile indirect tax returns with general ledger financial data and real-time reporting to maintain compliance and data integrity.

  • Perform control checks, validate transaction data, and identify discrepancies to strengthen reporting accuracy.

  • Lead data automation initiatives and recommend improvements to tax compliance processes and systems in partnership with IT, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Procurement teams.

  • Monitor Value Added Tax (VAT) legislative changes, assess business impact, and support implementation of compliance requirements.

  • Oversee VAT risk analytics, policies, and systems, and maintain VAT rates within Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and related systems.

  • Support audits, respond to tax notices, and address VAT-related queries from business collaborators.

  • You build strong partnerships across functions and proactively find opportunities to reduce risk and improve compliance performance.

This role requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.

  • CA, CPA, EA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.

  • 6-8+ years of experience in indirect tax compliance and operations.

  • In-depth knowledge of VAT legislation and statutory requirements.

  • Experience preparing indirect tax filings, reconciliations, compliance reporting, and transaction-level validation activities.

  • Experience assessing legislative changes and implementing measures to support ongoing VAT compliance.

  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle ERP, and digital tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate tax risks and compliance impacts.

  • Experience supporting audits, investigations, and responses to tax authority notices.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines within a multinational environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse partners.
