2027 Summer Intern Process Validation & Technology Transfer (IOPS)

  • Standort:Rensselaer
  • Req ID:R51830
  • Vertrag:Vollzeit
  • Arbeitsmodell:Onsite

The role

At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. Regeneron is currently seeking multiple 2027 Interns in the Process Validation, Process Controls, and Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) teams of the Regeneron Industrial Operations and Product Supply (IOPS) Process Sciences and Drug Product Engineering (PSDPE) department. This group decides how Regeneron's manufacturing processes are controlled and validated, and moves those processes to new sites and external manufacturing partners.

These positions offer the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.

When & where:

Location: Rensselaer / East Greenbush / Troy, NY

Timeframe: Our internship positions are full-time and onsite from May/June-August

Pay: Intern and Co-op pay ranges are determined by level of education (year in school) and degree program. The hourly rate range for these locations is: $17.90-$25.50 per hour.

What you'll do:

  • Before a manufacturing process can be used for a commercial medicine, it has to be shown to work reliably — and when a process moves to a new site or an outside manufacturing partner, the knowledge behind it has to move too.
  • Projects here involve developing risk-based approaches to process control and validation (for example, deciding which process parameters to monitor, or when results from past studies can be reused instead of repeating them), compiling and analyzing historical manufacturing data, and writing the technical documents that support technology transfers — including for newer Advanced Therapy programs (such as AAV, siRNA, peptides, and bioconjugates) and external manufacturing partners.
  • Some projects build data-driven or digital tools — for example, performance metrics that improve knowledge transfer to external partners, or tools that keep product datasets and related documents accurate as products and requirements change.
  • Some projects also explore how AI tools can help review batch records and technical documents for mismatches or omissions, or help draft and review technical source documents.
  • These are mostly desk-based technical roles — expect research, data analysis, technical writing, and cross-functional meetings rather than lab work. A few projects are better suited to graduate students.

Relevant majors: Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Statistics/Data Science, Computer Science/Information Technology (for digital-tool projects)

Let's find out if we're a fit:

  • Demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports, current or previous work, or within the community preferred
  • Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree (and be returning to school the semester following the position or graduating after the position)

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
