The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible to support assigned categories and is a proven collaborator who can work with cross functional teams across Regeneron, locally, regionally and internationally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Being accountable for supporting the definition and implementation of the assigned categories strategy to serve global and regional business needs as assigned.
Working closely with stakeholders to support discussions related to the assigned categories and aligns category priorities with Procurement management and stakeholders.
Supporting negotiations, supplier management activities, and stakeholder engagement activities for the Categories as assigned.
Taking direction to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities.
Supporting Global Procurement by participating in organizational decisions in the assigned categories with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results of the category team.
Demonstrating knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution of the Global Procurement organization and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities.
Supporting category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations, as applicable.
Using data to drive decision-making for successful category projects to mitigate risk.
Being responsible for category sourcing plan execution, and projects to optimize value.
Striving towards continuous vendor improvement and effectively manage relationships with key category vendors and business stakeholders.
Developing and sustaining vendor and customer relationships as well as assist in ensuring accountability exists within the managed category and performance is tracked.
Aligning with stakeholders and business leaders on their needs and provide Project Management and support for multiple projects within budget and on time.
Taking responsibility for continuous quality and service from suppliers to support efficient business operations.
Taking accountability for category spend savings targets and objectives.
Leading category supplier relationships and sourcing opportunities, including RFPs, negotiations, business review meetings and Key performance indicators etc.
Being accountable for contract agreements and addendums and ensure valid contracts are in place.
Being responsible for sound contract management and drive continuous value out of the contract..
This role might be for you if:
You have working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERP’s, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, Icertis, Ariba, Other)
You show the ability to leverage standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
You possess cost analysis knowledge
You are knowledgeable of GMP with specific awareness of Approved Supplier Lists
You display excellent verbal and written skills
To be considered for this opportunity you should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
