A Typical Day:
As an Associate Director in Field Medical Affairs, you will:
- Identify and maintain relationships with key therapeutic area experts and investigators.
- Respond to inquiries on study indications, disease states, and therapeutic areas, presenting scientific and clinical data in compliance with regulations.
- Engage in disease management education with practitioners, payers, and researchers.
- Attend medical conferences to gather and report scientific, clinical, and competitive intelligence.
- Support investigator-initiated studies by building relationships with investigators and internal teams.
- Assist in the development and communication of clinical data through abstracts, posters, presentations, and manuscripts.
- Collaborate with Clinical Development and Operations to execute strategies and support site initiation and enrollment activities.
- Develop and implement rules and procedures for Field Medical activities to ensure compliance with industry standards.

- Has a passion for oncology, with significant experience in lung cancer, solid tumors, or hematology oncology.
- Is fluent in both Japanese and English, with strong communication skills.
- Is comfortable traveling 30-50% of the time to engage with stakeholders and attend conferences.
- Values integrity, professionalism, and adherence to compliance standards.
To Be Considered:
Candidates should possess a PhD, PharmD, or MD (a Master’s degree with extensive oncology experience may be considered). A minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a clinical setting, with expertise in immuno-oncology, is preferred. Strong knowledge of oncology, particularly lung cancer or hematology oncology, is essential. Experience working in partnership with organizations and within matrix environments is highly valued.
