The Associate Director, International Payroll will be responsible for all aspects of payroll processing and payroll operations for our manufacturing plant located in Limerick as well as across 10+ additional countries. You will lead a team of payroll professionals, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of payroll activities, tax payments and reporting, while maintaining compliance with local tax regulations in each district. The right candidate for this role needs to have extensive global experience in payroll process transformation to work on the design of our overall payroll strategy today and for the future.

A typical day might include the following:

  • Provides technical subject matter expertise by engaging with the key client stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify setup requirements and manage the successful implementation of systems and services.

  • Oversees the day-to-day payroll processing operations of the team across multi jurisdictions.

  • Undertakes monthly responsibility associated with the management of the expat payroll. Supports the Global Mobility Team in Expat Payroll Matters.

  • Directs stakeholder management across levels both internal and third-party vendors.

  • Leads the team through requirements gathering, design, execution, and delivery of the future global payroll requirements.

  • Designs and collaborates with the team to document current and future processes for payroll team and disseminates information to all relevant stakeholders.

  • Understand cross functional impacts of certain configuration decisions/touch points, downstream impact of changes to the configuration, data, and integrations.

  • Global partner and key point of contact with the leadership and in other functions such as HR, tax, accounting & legal to ensure critical activities are executed timely and successfully.

  • Manage and support complex global payroll projects/ transformation programs with experience of working alongside both Payroll and IT professionals.

  • Work internationally and across time zones (statutory, regulatory, and cultural).

This role might be for you if:

  • 10-15 years of experience working in an HR and Payroll environment required, with a global Company.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is a plus.

  • People leadership experience required.

  • Strong mathematical, analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills; along with experience using Excel.

  • Experience with different HR technologies and having the knowledge base to make recommendations for appropriate HR enabling technologies required.

  • Experience leading complex projects.

  • Highly detail driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with an ability to see the bigger picture.

  • Knowledgeable of global benefits program design and administration.

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of employees.

  • Travel required: Please note that this role will require periodic visits to the Limerick site.
