Summary: Responsible for providing guidance to their direct reports and providing a support service to the site as part of the FM-Services team specializing in calibration work. To ensure maintenance and repairs are carried out in compliance to relevant SOP’s and GxP requirements.

Leadership-Related Activities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provides on-the-floor leadership to employees;

  • Ensures employees timesheets are completed on time;

  • Participate with employees training, to ensure that all requirement are met;

  • Perform minimally monthly performance feedback meetings with direct reports;

  • Escalates all performance issues to Manager and/or Directors and/or HR.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Comply with site safety policies and strive to maintain an accident free environment.

  • Manage direct reports and engage in the 30/30 process.

  • Support Facilities as the SME for calibration/instrumentation for internal & external audits.

  • Support the build and criticality assessment of all new equipment/instruments for the BMRAM calibration database.

  • Ensure documentation of maintenance activities to GxP standards both in paper based records and the BMRAM system.

  • Administration of contract calibration personnel and to insure compliance with all regulatory codes.

  • Maintaining the physical condition and environment of all areas.

  • Provide Instrumentation/Calibration support to Facilities, Quality Assurance Team, Engineering and Operations.

  • Support continuous improvement, 5S and Lean initiatives.

  • Promotes quality and customer service.

  • Follows current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs).

  • Have the ability to work with automated control systems and with low voltages.

  • Have the ability to loop check, tune, troubleshoot, and startup of instrumentation.

  • Have the ability to calibrate various types of instrumentation including temperature, pressure, level, flow and analytical instruments.

  • Have the ability to communicate with mid and senior management within the facilities department.

  • Occasionally work on other Process/Utility/Facility related work tasks/issues that are outside the calibration department’s normal work duties.

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor degree in science or engineering, preferred; along with 2+ years of experience in a similar position or 5+ years of field experience in the desired functional area. Will substitute relevant experience in lieu of degree.
