We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Director to join our Editing Technologies and Therapeutic Cargo Group within Regeneron Genetic Medicines (RGM). We need a dynamic innovator and leader with a strong background in CRISPR-based genome editing, technology development, and genetic medicines, including AAV-based gene delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing external collaborations, driving the development of new editing technologies, and advancing editing-based therapeutic programs in multiple disease areas. As an Associate Director in Regeneron Genetic Medicines, a typical day might include:

  • Managing external collaborations and working closely with internal cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of new technologies into our workflows and processes

  • Leading the development and implementation of novel editing technologies to enhance our genetic medicine toolbox and drive our therapeutic programs forward

  • Managing a robust pipeline of editing-based therapeutic programs, ensuring timely progress and high-quality results

  • Driving strategic planning and execution of technology development projects and ensuring alignment with overall department/collaborator objectives

  • Staying abreast of the latest developments in the CRISPR field and incorporating relevant innovations into our internal efforts

  • Providing leadership and guidance to a team of scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and collaboration

In order to be considered for this role, you must have at least a Ph.D and 10+ years of relevant experience in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioengineering or a related field. We need someone with a deep understanding of the therapeutic target landscape, specifically in neuroscience and musculoskeletal disorders. Experience developing novel technology platforms and driving therapeutic programs from the discovery stage through IND/CTA is preferred. Specific experience with AAV-based gene delivery is a plus. Experience managing and working with both internal and external collaborators is required.

The salary ranges provided are shown in accordance with U.S. law and apply to U.S. based positions, where the hired candidate will be located in the U.S. If you are outside the U.S, please speak with your recruiter about salaries and benefits in your location.

Salary Range (annually)

$151,800.00 - $247,800.00
