We are currently looking to fill an Associate Director, Information & Records Management position. This position leads all aspects of the records management program. Working across management to effectively improve, create, and deliver an effective and advanced program for the management of electronic data and physical records to meet regulatory and legal requirements. Leading the day-to-day functions of the department and provide leadership, training, and direction for the program.

In this role, a typical day might include the following:

  • Lead the Information & Records Management department.

  • Be responsible for the design, development, and administration of records management systems.

  • Manage third-party vendor relationships for all records management functions.

  • Direct day to day records management activities while developing and implementing plans to service the company’s expanding footprint.

  • Mitigate operational and technological risks by actively supporting the Company's records management activities and maintaining a strong commitment to records and information protection.

  • Implement strategic goals and objectives to ensure efficiency and compliance.

  • Implement and provide records management and related risk-management training and communications to employees, contractors, and external partners.

  • Develop and/or improve policies and departmental procedural documents.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on records management related issues and concerns to develop and measure the effectiveness of the program.

  • Identify, select, and implement records management as a service using third party vendors.

  • Function as the primary point of contact for the Corporate Enterprise Records Management team.

  • Develop and maintain a strong alliance with Data Integrity, Data Privacy and Data Security functions ensuring the IRM program addresses all aspects of these areas.

  • Participate in and guide the processing of business records involved with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and reorganizations by applying retention and taxonomy schemes.

  • Support the Enterprise RM Record Champions and Records Coordinator network.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the program.

This role might be for you if you have:

  • Experience in implementing electronic records programs e.g., email retention, electronic records management systems (EDMS)

  • Broad knowledge of records management and protection laws, regulations, and best practices

  • Experience identifying, selecting, and implementing records management as a service

  • Strong computer and database skills

  • A risk management mindset with strong attention to detail

To be considered for this role you must hold a BA/BS degree with the following amount of relevant experience, preferably in information governance, records management including records retention schedule development with pharmaceutical or biotech company for each level:

  • Associate Director – 10+ years

  • Director – 12+ years

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Level to be determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.

The salary ranges provided are shown in accordance with U.S. law and apply to U.S. based positions, where the hired candidate will be located in the U.S. If you are outside the U.S, please speak with your recruiter about salaries and benefits in your location.

Salary Range (annually)

$142,700.00 - $277,100.00
