Job Description
The Director, Pricing & Contracting Strategy will serve as the primary point for the Brand on all pricing matters and is responsible for leading the development of cohesive Global/US launch pricing and contracting strategies for product(s) within the Oncology franchise. This position will lead the development of Global/US pricing guidance and management of ongoing market price proposal approvals and serve as the subject matter expert on pricing trends and practices.
In this role, a typical day might include the following:
Managing the design, development and implementation of the product-specific pricing and contracting strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of traditional and innovative approaches to pricing, contracting and reimbursement of specialty products, including oncology.
Demonstrating strong leadership approach that is evidence-based and employs pragmatic and collaborative problem-solving skills. The position requires a solid understanding of the payer archetypes and the pricing dynamic. Having both EU5 and US knowledge and experience will be a plus.
Lead the development of Launch pricing strategies for assigned product(s), working cross-functionally and establish pricing and contracting guidance in collaboration with key stakeholders including Global/EU Commercial, Global and International Market Access, and HEOR within Regeneron
Lead the Pricing research in collaboration with key cross functional stakeholders within Regeneron, to ensure quality and timeliness
Triangulate research insights with key market inputs as part of the strategy development process, while optimizing overall global P&MA needs
Work with the ROW Pricing Lead to bridge strategy to execution
Collaborate with Market Access and HEOR to ensure that appropriate pricing elements are incorporated into the Global Value Dossier, payer value proposition, and objection handler
Co-lead with Market Access, the development of Payer Negotiation Strategies and Tactics including development of alternative pricing models such as price-volume arrangement, budget CAPS, outcomes based arrangements etc.
Provide strategic inputs and conduct analytics on market specific price proposals to support the Global Pricing Committee process
Monitor key P&MA trends proactively and identify implications for the Regeneron portfolio
This job might be for you if you:
Demonstrated experience with developing launch global pricing strategies, preferably in Hematology / Oncology
Experience working with multi-disciplinary functions which will include Marketing, Market Access, HEOR, Finance, Trade, etc.
Solid knowledge of US contracting and Buy & Bill dynamics as well as EU5 payer archetypes and HTA/reimbursement decision processes
Excellent knowledge of pricing market research tools, methodologies, and analytics including exposure to global price management systems
Must have strong leadership skills, strategic mindset, and the ability to influence without authority
Provide price-evolution inputs to Finance and Corporate Strategy to support long-term forecasting and commercial strategic planning
To be considered for this role you should have a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree/MBA preferred. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in math, economics, business administration, health policy, health economics or other relevant qualification. Advanced business degree (MBA) preferred. 15+ years progressive relevant experience acquired at pharmaceutical/biotech companies, Payer/HTA, or relevant healthcare consultancy companies in a multi-national context: US & EU5 experiences.
