Job Description
The senior manager of Scientific Marketing is a key member of the Ophthalmology marketing team and will report to the Senior Director, Scientific Marketing. This person will have primary responsibility to support the speaker bureau, management of the annual ad board process and implementation of other tactical programs to support the growth of EYLEA HD across indications.
A Typical Day Might Look Like This:
Working closely with Sr. Director, marketing team members and agency partners to develop a scientific marketing plan which supports the long term vision for EYLEA HD.
Lead development of speaker program content across indications for EYLEA HD
Identify key KOLs attending an upcoming congress and consider insights needed to further drive understanding of the anti-VEGF marketplace. Based on this develop a content engagement plan for these KOL attendees.
Drive the development of the Retina Specialists & Tech speaker bureau: program content development, training, bios, communication and surveys
Develop key scientific content for use across various media opportunities.
Work with agency partner to prepare all tactics within your responsibility for RC review.
Prepare annual ad board plan for review with all appropriate cross-functional teams.
Manages the hcp.eylea.us scientific resource center content w/ HCP Promo
Attend major congresses
Manages the SciMark budget with finance team
This Position Might Be For You If:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in marketing of biologics/high science products
Buy and bill experience a plus
Experience in leading and developing medical education tactics
Experience managing congress and conference related marketing activities
Understands US reimbursement environment including governmental programs
Experience tracking and managing budgets with finance counterparts
Strong interpersonal & presentation skills required
Demonstrated ability to deal with all levels of the organization
Must be willing to travel 25-30% (including weekend travel as needed)
To be considered for this opportunity you must have a Bachelor's Degree, MBA a plus. 5+ years of "progressive" biotech marketing, product management, or related experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in ophthalmology and specifically the retina.
