We are seeking a Senior Associate Scientist to join the Molecular Biology group within the Therapeutic Proteins department. We need someone to support generating reagents to support protein production for therapeutic focus area and various Regeneron group.

As a Senior Associate Scientist, a typical day might include:

  • Designing and generating plasmids

  • Using molecular biology techniques for cloning reagents into various expression vectors

  • Transiently transfecting plasmid to mammalian cell (e.g. Expi293F)

  • Maintaining and expanding mammalian cell culture of adherent and non-adherent cell lines

  • Developing and optimizing transient transfection to increase efficiency

  • Running experiments to confirm expression of cloned DNA and quality control analysis

  • Validating protein production by Western Blot

  • Generating stable cell line using 293Expi cell

In order to be considered for this role, you must have at least a BS/MS and 3-5+ years of experience in molecular biology or related field. We need someone who is experienced in basic molecular biological techniques, such PCR, seamless cloning (Gibson assembly, Infusion) and ligase dependent cloning, RT-PCR, primer design and sequencing. Must have experience with sequence analysis tools (Macvector, Sequencher) and web-based database tools such as NCBI, EMBL, etc. Experience with aseptic cell culture skill, mammalian transfection, and Western Blot required. A structural biology background/experience and ability to predict protein conformation changes based on amino acid changes and ligand binding is desirable.

$75,700.00 - $123,500.00
