Senior Scientist, Therapeutic Antibody Early Discovery

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist to join our Immunoscreening group within our Therapeutic Proteins department. In this exciting role, you will directly contribute to the identification of potential therapeutic antibodies, in-vitro characterizations, and selection process of the lead molecules in early discovery stage.

As a Senior Scientist, a Typical Day Might Include:

  • Developing, optimizing, and performing high throughput cell-based assays (flow cytometry, imaging, electro-chemiluminescence-based assays)

  • Designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting immunoassays (ELISA, AlphaLISA, SPARCL) to assess therapeutic functional properties of antibody supernatants and purified antibodies

  • Analyzing experimental data with Excel and graphic software to categorize the diversity of antibodies in the collection

  • Driving the design of target-specific antibody screening plans and effectively coordinating between cross-functional teams to carry out high throughput screenings according to these plans

  • Clearly summarizing antibody screening results from multiple functional groups to highlight potential leads

  • Presenting results to a large project team

To be considered for this role, you must have at least a Ph.D. degree with 0-2 years of academic or industrial experience, a MS with 8+ years, or a BS with 10+ years in Cell Biology, Immunology, or a related field. Experience with multicolor flow cytometry and other cell based assays preferred. Experience in in-vitro protein characterization, such as ligand/receptor binding characterization, quantitative potency determination, protein structure-function relationship in the field of immunology is a plus. High-throughput screening experience is desirable.

$103,600.00 - $169,000.00
