Associate Scientist (Tarrytown, NY)
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking an Associate Scientist (Tarrytown, NY) to carry out in-vitro transcription for mRNA production. Assay for protein expression by mRNAs in various cell types. Contribute to the development of analytical characterization methods for mRNA molecules for vaccine development. Collaborate with therapeutic focused groups to characterize and optimize construct designs based on functional activity in various in vitro and in vivo models. Keep organized record, summarize experimental data, and present them to audience with various backgrounds. Work with multiple groups simultaneously on multiple different projects. Meet the timelines for reagent development. Local telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week.
SALARY RANGE: $75,109.00 - $103,800.00 per year
Job Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field and 1 year of mRNA research and development experience. Must have experience with: Molecular biology techniques such as cell culture, western blot, PCR, and cloning; In-vitro transcription design and optimization for modified mRNA; RNA purifications methods (spin column purification, TFF, Oligo dT, and AKTA/HPLC); RNA analytical methods (fragment analysis, capping analysis, LCMS, ELISA, qPCR); In-vitro cell assays (mRNA transfection, immunostaining, flow cytometry); mRNA sequence design, secondary structure analysis and protein translation optimization; and Supporting tech dev efforts across multiple other RNA therapy platforms.
