Job Description
We are seeking an Associate Medical Director, Clinical Sciences to join our Immunology & Inflammation team. The Associate Medical Director, Clinical Sciences will work closely with the VP, Clinical Sciences, as well as with other study medical directors in the group, to support conduct of clinical studies, primarily within the areas of Allergy, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Immunology, and/or Respiratory. The Associate Medical Director serves as the Scientific and Medical Lead for clinical teams working closely with the Therapeutic Area Project Manager and Clinical Trial Managers for each indication/study, and with Clinical Program Managers who serve as operational leads for overall programs within the Immunology and Inflammation Therapeutic Area.
As an Associate Medical Director, a typical day may include the following:
Develops clinical study concepts based on thorough scientific review and consultation with internal and external experts as well as senior Regeneron scientists and business specialists
Contributes to and supervises production of medical and scientific portions of clinical research protocols derived from clinical study concept
Acts as medical safety monitor for studies
Organizes and participates in clinical advisory boards, steering committees and data monitoring committees as required
Acts as primary developer of clinical/scientific content for submissions to regulatory agencies and IRBs/ethics boards; Participates in the review and interpretation of study data to support valid scientific conclusions
Utilize complete functional knowledge and awareness of company goals and objectives in the planning and execution of clinical trials and in the interpretation of study results
Assists in development of scientific/medical portions of clinical study reports and safety reports to assure production of high quality documents
Participates in production of high quality publications
This role may be for you if you have the following:
An MD or MD/PhD with 0-2+ years clinical experience, Board Certification or Eligibility in a relevant area strongly preferred (Allergy, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Immunology, Pulmonology); research experience is required
Experience in clinical research and/or basic science research in an academic setting strongly preferred
The desire to make a broader impact on developing medicines for patients with serious diseases
The ability to be on-site in Tarrytown three or more days a week and for priority meetings
