We seek a Staff Accountant to join a dynamic Collaboration Accounting team, with a high focus on accounting for our revenue generating agreements and work from home flexibility. Individual is responsible for preparing accounting analyses/schedules. Analyzes information and ensures proper accounting treatment of transactions, specifically relating to revenue recognition and expense analyses. Works with other departments, including Finance and core business functions, and accounting staff to gather information necessary to ensure accurate accounting. Ensures that all internal control policies and procedures are followed. Responsible for ensuring that areas of responsibility are completed in accordance with the accounting close timeline. Provides suggestions and support for process improvements and efficiencies.

As a Staff Accountant, a typical day may include:

  • Understanding collaboration and other partner agreements, including, but not limited to, expense reimbursement, including the review of the related accounts receivable
  • Responsible for preparation of various expense schedules
  • Working directly with Finance to ensure completeness and accuracy of accruals and reclasses
  • Responsible for preparation of journal entries, supporting schedules, account analyses
  • Responsible for preparation of P&L and Balance Sheet flux explanations for Management
  • Responsible for quarterly reconciliation of accounts receivable with Finance for agreements under purview
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with documented Accounting policies and Sarbanes-Oxley controls
  • Actively participating in monthly and quarterly meetings with internal and external parties (e.g., external auditors)
  • Demonstrating knowledge of technical accounting standards under US GAAP, and its application to tasks at hand
  • Participating in process improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective presentation skills
  • High proficiency with Microsoft applications is required

To be considered for this role, you must possess Bachelor's Degree. 2 years of relevant accounting experience required. CPA track preferred. Strong knowledge of technical accounting relating to USA GAAP, and its application to tasks at hand. Understanding of the PCAOB and its related SOX implications. High proficiency with Microsoft applications is required.

Salary Range (annually)

$67,600.00 - $110,200.00
